The Experience of Divorce

As a child of divorced parents, I already experienced what it's like and how it influences life and family dynamics. Divorce is something that takes time to adjust to, so it is normal to be confused and stressed. Keep in mind that when moving from house to house, each household operates differently, and each parent may have different expectations. One parent might be more strict than the other, while one parent might be more relaxed. One parent may tell you to clean up after yourself after dinner, and one may just clean up for you. As I said, it will definitely take some time adjusting and remembering the rules and responsibilities for each parent. It will feel hard at first, but it will get easier over time.
