Understanding Fairness

Fairness means that everyone is treated equally and without bias. Philosophy shows that fairness is not only about making everyone have the same things, but it is also about how everyone is provided with the necessary resources in order to succeed. In family situations, when considering custody, fairness depends on key factors: the teen's health, the parent's ability to keep a safe environment, the teen's age, and relationships. Teens can also have a say in court, depending on their age. Considering these key factors help make safe and steady settlements for everyone.
